Bedfordshire League Rules

Scoring, order of play, the Division 2 cap, fees and rearrangements, as agreed at recent AGMs.

These points are taken from the 2024, 2025 and 2026 AGMs and the August 2026 committee meeting. The full match rules captains use on the night are also on League Master.

Scoring

  • Division 1 is played point-a-rally (PAR) to 11, best of five games. The 2024 AGM voted for this (11 in favour, 1 against) and later AGMs have kept it.
  • Division 2 is played point-a-rally (PAR) to 15, best of five games.
  • On cold courts, players may use a single-dot ball if they prefer.

Order of play

  • Order follows SquashLevels, with a tolerance of 250 points.
  • A player may play up to three matches above their place in either half of the season.
  • Division 2 has a SquashLevels cap of 2500, set at the start of the season. The league organiser flags exceptions.

Fees

Unchanged at the 2026 AGM:

  • Winter: £80 and £50
  • Summer: £50 per team

Rearrangements

If a team asks to rearrange a fixture and then wins that match, the five bonus points for the win are removed.

Teams

The 2026 AGM recorded eight teams in each division, with a similar number expected this season. Fixtures, results and tables are on League Master.
